Mr. Muzi Sithole

He holds the Degree of Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering as well as a Diploma in Civil Engineering. Sithole has a sterling track record in local government, having served as Civil Engineering Technologist at Msunduzi Municipality, Assistant Manager for Engineering Services at uMlalazi Municipality and got promoted to being Director for Engineering Services, and was later appointed as the Acting Deputy Municipal Manager for Special Projects at the same municipality.

About Civil Engineering & Human Settlement:

  • The Civil Engineering Services and Human Settlements Unit is responsible for all infrastructure development and maintenance of such infrastructure to ensure the wellbeing of the communities within the municipality’s area of jurisdiction.

  • The unit’s functions includes roads and storm water construction and maintenance, provision of public transport infrastructure, development of public facilities, development of housing units for low-income earners and indigents as well as maintenance of Council buildings.
